Last day in Provence

For out last day in Provence, we drove back to the village of Saint-Remy-de-Provence. This place inspired Vincent van Gogh and is certainly on the short list of places we could live. On market day (every Wednesday), the picturesque little street in the photograph is completely crowded with stalls and people. We had a great time just exploring streets and squares and shops, getting lost then getting found again (you can never really get seriously lost, but it’s fun trying). Finally, we had lunch at a restaurant that specialises in traditional French cuisine and seafood – great oysters from Omaha beach, brown crab and Brittany lobster. It was fantastic, and the perfect way to say farewell to Provence.
